INDUCTOR / TOOLING DESIGN ENGINEER

Description of work: Design and detailing of induction coils, bus, quench cooling rings, and part touch tooling. The engineer will use general and previous design guidelines, combined with hands-on Metallurgical Process Lab experience to design part specific induction coils, bus, quench rings, and tooling. The designer will work with the manager to choose material and manufacturing methods for lowest overall cost. Must be able to work on own from layout drawings with minimum supervision. Responsibilities also include follow-up on material and drawings through the purchasing and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:
- BSME required with 1-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and 3-5 years experience
- AutoCad 2000 or higher experience is required
- Solidworks experience is highly desirable
- Must have good technical writing and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of machine shop practices and procedures is required.
- Metallurgical experience is desirable.

Madison Heights, MI currently has these positions available:

TITLE: SERVICE MANAGER - Full time position 40+ hours per week, salaried.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility for service engineers and the daily running of the department which includes scheduling all service calls, machine start-up's, training, paid support and selling P/M. Training of service engineers for complete induction systems, such as; power supplies, controls, mechanics and water systems with general Forge heating and heat treat knowledge to answer the basic of questions posted by customers. Customer follow-up on all service calls. To insure that the customer is satisfied with the service received. Review all service reports and complete service order by entering service reports and customer billing information into Symix system. Complete all daily paper work. The service manage should keep in touch personally with our service accounts, and take responsibility of any customer difficulties. Weekly service visits follow-up would be required. Manage our weekly warranty meetings to help lower material and labor expenses spent on warranty issues, while identifying root causes. Provide 24/7 technical service support hot-line. Growth of the service department with PM plans, training plans, service calls and parts. Some travel required to visit customers.

DESIRED SKILLS:
Requires both written and verbal communication skills primarily in English. High school graduate with technical sales, military or electrical engineering experience minimum, college degree preferred. Computer Software Skills: Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD. Good customer communication skills and phone skills a must. Salary to be negotiated.
